Inspired by the history and development of Jernbanebyen, the light installation Spor presents itself as an abstract relic. Fragments from the railway are detached from their original context and reinterpreted into new forms that both honor the past and illuminate future possibilities.
The installation consists of hand-polished polycarbonate screens, which, with their small scratches, capture and transform the light behind them into undulating formations. These formations reflect the original dynamics of Jernbanebyen, connecting the rhythms of the past with the area's transformation—a reflection of Jernbanebyen’s pulse through time.
About the artists
FrederikGustav, composed of designers Frederik Weber and Gustav Dupont, is a Copenhagen-based duo that merges design, architecture, and art in their projects. Their work challenges materials, forms, and space to create dynamic experiences, blending artistry with functionality. FrederikGustav’s installations and designs have been showcased internationally, where they’ve gained recognition for their innovative and thought-provoking approach.
